Man, 18, Stabbed Dead During Fight In Reading City Park: Police

An 18-year-old man was stabbed dead in a Berks County park, authorities said.

Jose E. Rosa-Ramos was stabbed during a fight on N 11th Street and Washington Street in Reading City Park around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, according to the Reading Police Department.

He was taken to Reading Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police say the stabbing was the result of an "ongoing dispute" between some of the people involved in the fight. During the fight, other people, including the victim, became involved.

No arrests have been made as of Friday morning, however, police have provided a description of the alleged suspect.

"At the time of the incident the suspect was described as a male wearing a ski mask, black shirt, and gray shorts," police said.
